Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) for Veterans

BattleTap: BattleTap is an online tapping program customized for veterans and active duty warriors. It's designed to bring EFT right into a veteran's home, to be used any time he or she feels emotional distress. For the last year, dedicated volunteers have been developing BattleTap using the latest online technology. It's intuitive and easy to understand, with a rich video, audio, and graphic interface. Users enter the text of their distressing memories into the program, and score their distress on a scale from 0 (no distress) to 10 (maximum) distress. BattleTap then guides them through using EFT, and then re-scores the severity of their problem. The software keeps a record of their issues and their progress, so that they can see if they're improving. It also offers them a discussion group where they can ask questions and connect with others, a review of EFT research on PTSD, and descriptions of EFT written in language that connects with this group of people. It's usable on home computers as well as mobile devices, and we encourage you to share BattleTap

What is EFT?   EFT is a drug free, easy-to-learn self-applied technique that is proven effective at reducing chronic pain and stress.  EFT is easily delivered in person or over Skype and can be learned.  This month the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease published the first clinical trial documenting that EFT resolves most veteran chronic pain, stress, and PTSD symptoms.  Here's a link to the abstract of that study:

Veteran Quote:  "I served with the Army in Korea in 1951 and for 60 years have had a very painful/emotional memory that has plagued me all these years ... so I told "my story" to Alina and went through the process of tapping it down ...after one hour I could mentally revisit that Korean experience and it was as though I was watching an old newsreel of a 20 year old GI's (me) experience ...and there was absolutely no emotional  charge to it ... and I have been free of it ever since !!... 13 years of group therapy or 1 hour of EFT/Matrix ... take your pick ... I'm sold on EFT!! "  ~ Korean War Veteran Carl Anderson 7 months after his EFT session which you can view on the Veterans Stress Project website at   http://www.stressproject.org/video.html
